How the Custom Closet Design Process Works

STEP 1

THE INITIAL CONSULTATION

This initial consultation is of no cost to you, nor does it place you under any obligation for our services. It typically lasts about an hour as we measure and assess your closet space and discuss your closet needs. We can design custom closets large and small, so it’s all up to you.

STEP 2

DESIGN

In a typical custom closet design, you’d be presented with several different plans over the course of several weeks, depending upon measurements. But at Clozetivity of the Capital Region, NY, we use AI to give you between 4 and 6 designs in a matter of minutes! You can change things up as you wish, and then we’ll provide you with an instant price quote.

STEP 3

ORDERING

We’ll send you a proposal either by email or text message. Once you accept it, you can place your deposit. After the order has been placed, everything typically arrives in 5 to 7 weeks. We’ll be sure to contact you to schedule an installation time and date once it’s in. Everything is made using high-quality materials in North America.

STEP 4

PREPARATION

For an additional fee, we can prepare the space for your new custom closet, but you can also choose to do it yourself. If you do, make sure to remove everything the day prior to the scheduled installation, including shelving and rods. Any holes or damage should be filled and painted over with the same color as the rest of the space. Be sure to paint at least 1 or 2 days prior to installation so that everything has time to dry.

STEP 5

INSTALLATION

We’ll take care of everything involving the delivery and final touches. Everything will be left just as we found it once we’re done. Installation for one closet usually takes one day, but more than one closet could take longer to install.
